Frequently Asked Questions

Can I visit the centre?
We encourage parents to Book A Tour to experience our amazing early learning environment first hand. We want the best for you and your child and want to make sure you have made the right decision. For more information Contact Us now!

What are the centre hours?
We are open 6.30am to 6.30pm Monday to Friday and take children from 6 weeks to 5 years.

What are the centre’s fees?
Your specific fees will be dependent on the amount of Child Care Subsidy you receive. You can nominate your benefit to be paid to your childcare provider, leaving you to pay only the ‘gap fee’.

What’s included in the fees?
All fees are all inclusive of all meals, educational resources and programs including special events and shows through the year.

Are meals provided at the centre?
Yes! At Bowen Hills Early Learning we have our own qualified cook who looks after all our children’s nutritional needs in our full commercial licensed kitchen. We provide weekly menus for families information and can service all dietary requirements

What if my child has dietary or allergy requirements?
We are passionate about ensuring all children have access to nutritious, healthy meals and have put policies in place to support children’s specific dietary and additional requirements. Please Contact Us now so we can work together to support your child’s individual needs.

What is the child to staff ratio?
We ensure the legislated staffing ratios are met at all times. Not only does this comply with the government safety requirements but allows our educators to develop meaningful relationships with your child. At our centre, staffing ratios for children up to 24 months old are 1:4, over 24 months and less than 36 months are 1:5, and over 36 months including preschool age are 1:11.

Does the centre have a Kindergarten Approved Program?
Yes! Our approved programs are created from the Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guidelines and Early Years Learning Framework, which have been adapted to meet each child’s needs.

Can I get Government subsidies?
On 2 July 2018, the Federal Government introduced a new Child Care Package that provides more childcare funding support for families. The Child Care Package replaced the Child Care Benefit and the Child Care Rebate with a single, means-tested Child Care Subsidy. For more information visit the Family Assistance Office website or call 13 61 50.
